Job Description

This position is responsible for completing initial set up and maintenance work on a vast array of heavy trailers.   

The Essential duties and responsibilities of the position include:

  • Inspect and install wiring for trailer lights and tires.
  • Verify all accessories are in full working order.
  • Install and verify GPS systems.
  • Repair and perform preventative maintenance on trailers and equipment.
  • Perform DOT inspections.
  • Repair, build and maintain trailer including hubs, wheel bearings, brakes, etc.
  • Identify and correct brake drum issues on air brake system.
  • Weld parts/equipment onto trailer as directed.
  • Create and/or edit work order in fleet software.
  • Complete daily maintenance and cleaning of work area.
  • Other duties assigned.

Qualified candidates must be mechanically and electrically inclined, have previous experience in maintenance of construction equipment and the ability to weld. Ideal candidate would have previous experience working on semi-trailers. Other qualifications include the ability to work independently, attention to detail, timely decision making, and problem solving skills.
