Job Description

This position will organize and oversee all physical security operations. Provide installation and technical support on all new and legacy physical security systems, and serve as a subject matter expert. Security investigations and on-going risk assessment is required.

 The essential duties and responsibilities of the position include, but not limited to:

  • Maintain and promote a strong safety culture for all employees, vendors, and customers and follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.
  • Conduct site security audits and investigations and provide reports to management. Provide recommendations for physical security equipment and operating systems; cameras, lighting, fencing, access control and alarms.
  • Develop and implement security policies, protocols and procedures.
  • Research and analyze security intelligence data for potential impact on company, leadership, and work sites.
  • Provide expertise regarding critical infrastructure physical security measures.
  • Track and review data/trends to formulate strategies and incentives to promote safety compliance.
  • Develop and implement physical security training programs.
  • Act as primary point of contact for physical security emergencies. Coordinate responses with law enforcement and government agencies.
  • Consult with Risk department on property and injury claims.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement and government agencies on physical security initiatives.
  • Create security policies and SOP’s.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications include Bachelor’s degree in related field, 15+ years related experience, or equivalent combination.  The ability to be on-call 24/7, including holidays if required. Candidates must have previous law enforcement experience and a security assessment certification would be preferred.
