Job Description

This position is responsible for performing skilled tasks in the mechanical repair and maintenance of OEM heavy equipment related to construction.

The essential duties and responsibilities of the position include, but not limited to:

  • Diagnose and perform basic hydraulic repair. Reads and interpret schematics and pressures. (e.g., resealing hydraulic cylinders and control valves, plumb hydraulic system and build hoses.)
  • Diagnose and perform A/C repairs.
  • Diagnose and perform electrical repairs (e.g., wire harnesses, sensors, level gauges, power inverters, etc.)
  • Perform preventative maintenance inspections on appropriate heavy equipment.
  • Perform minor welding repairs and maintenance work and resealing of final drives.
  • Replace turbo chargers, adjust and replace valves and injectors.
  • Perform entry into fleet software to record work performed and order parts.
  • Complete daily maintenance and cleaning of work area.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualified candidates must have three to five years of work related mechanical repair experience and/or one to five years of heavy equipment repair. Candidates must have the understanding of using part books and service manuals. Also, completion of a diesel mechanic program and forklift experienced is desired.
